Udo's Oil

Udo's Oil

Udo's Oil 3-6-9 Blend contains the ideal balance of Omega-3 and 6 essential fatty acids (2:1) for people who want one product that gives them all of the good fats they need, without any of the bad fats they should avoid.

Every cell, tissue, gland and organ is dependent upon the presence of essential fatty acids. They are the main structural component of cell membranes and are necessary for cell growth and division.

Most people's diets tend to be lacking in the "good" fats department, and there are SO MANY benefits to taking in these good fats that it's hard to ignore. CLICK ON THIS LINK TO LEARN ALOT MORE ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF TAKING THIS PRODUCT. Just be sure not to take the Udo's at the same time as you take your fiber supplement. It would kind of defeat the purpose. lol.

I don't order this one by mail order because the oil needs to be kept refridgerated. I buy mine at the local Whole Foods store, but most good nutrition shops carry them. I mix it into my protein shakes, and I also mix it into my oatmeal/protein breakfast (after the oatmeal is cooked and starting to cool).

Here's a quick summary of a recent study that showed the benefits of taking higher doses (1 tablespoon per 50 lbs of bodyweight) of Udo's oil:

  • A runner increased his distance from 90 to 147 kilometers per week within a month of starting on the oil blend.

  • A cyclist increased his daily distance from 60-80 km/day to 100-120. He had saddle sores at 60-80 km, but they healed while his distance increased to 100-120.

  • A 50-year old body builder returned to workout levels he had been able to accomplish only in his 30s, and he competed effectively against 'kids' in their 30s.

  • A boxer moved from two 1.5-hour workouts daily to two 2.5-hour workouts.

Other benefits reported by the athletes:

  • Could work out longer before becoming weary
  • Recovered from fatigue faster
  • Had injuries heal faster
  • Could build muscle faster
  • Could work out more frequently without over-training
  • Found their joints hurt less
  • Could concentrate better, and performed better
  • Slept better
  • Discovered their mood was better
  • Skin quality had improved
Since many people still believe that eating fats increases risk of heart attack and stroke, we tested cardiovascular risk factors in some of the athletes.
Within 3 months:

  • Their triglycerides were down by 21%.
  • Their good HDL cholesterol was up significantly
  • Their so-called bad LDL cholesterol was down significantly
  • Their HDL/LDL ratio was up by 39%

In other words, their performance rose, and so did their cardiovascular health.
